Vitamin Program in Guatemala
Vitamins make a live-saving and life-changing difference. According to the World Health Organization, approximately 80% of the Mayan children in the highlands of Guatemala are malnourished. Children who receive needed vitamin supplements become healthier, feel stronger, have more energy, are better able to focus and do better in school.
Working with the director and teachers of an elementary school in rural Guatemala, BB Inc. implemented a vitamin program last year. The teachers report a huge improvement in the well-being and performance of the students. In fact, the school was recently recognized by the Guatemala government as being one of the healthiest schools in the country. The school receives little government funding and relies on our support. Please help us continue to improve the health and quality of life of these children. We need your help to raise $6,000 to provide vitamins for the school’s 500+ students for the coming school year, which starts in January. We have raised $2,000 so far.
