Preschool Children with BB Inc. Workbook in Panajachel, Guatemala
BB Inc. created a Spanish language preschool workbook with hand-drawn original artwork and specific cultural references and has distributed over 500 of these workbooks in Guatemala and El Salvador. In Guatemala school is taught in Spanish but in rural areas many of the children grow up speaking a Mayan dialect, not Spanish. The goal of this workbook is to help children learn basic Spanish and other skills that will prepare them to succeed in school.
Notebook Distribution in Guatemala
In Guatemala children are required to have a certain number of notebooks in order to attend school. Unfortunately the families of many children do not have the resources to purchase these notebooks. BB Inc. has distributed over 1,000 notebooks and hundreds of pencils, providing hundreds of children with the materials they need for school.
